Decide Once. Never Again.
How to close loops permanently
Today, identify three decisions you make repeatedly.
Common examples:
When to start work
When to stop
How quickly to respond
What gets scheduled vs declined
Now do something radical: Decide them once.
Not optimally. Decisively.
That’s your new standard.
Examples:
“I start work at the same time, regardless.”
“Messages get answered in two windows.”
“If it’s not scheduled, it doesn’t exist.”
You’re not trying to be perfect.
You’re trying to be finished.
Finished decisions stop draining attention, energy and power.
Standards simplify decisions.
Decisiveness closes loops.
Closed loops redirect existing energy into focus.
Focus generates power.
Power creates results.
Results give you authority.
Authority returns when decisions stop drifting.
